A collection of readers for books in progress
The process of making a book is lengthy and must be done with attention to detail. Nevertheless, there is much material that can already be presented to the public, as initial research findings of past OCD projects. While the final editions for each project are being put together, we have decided to print pre-editions or readers with small presses found in Metro Manila, mostly in slum areas. This way, we support our friendly neighborhood RISO printers while keeping interested readers up to date on the editorial projects we have in process.
The first collection of RISO Readers was presented at the 2013 New York Art Book Fair held every year at PS1 MoMA, organized by the cult bookshop Printed Matter. The RISO Readers were a huge success. All 100 copies sold out in 12 hours.
